Rebuilds & Repairs
Valve repairs and refurbishment are carried out at DVP’s certified repair facility in Port Moody, BC, where we are equipped to handle repairs of any size.
For rebuilds we follow the same procedure as remanufacturing back to factory specifications, therefore it is our policy to warranty our valves with the same warranty as the manufacturer. Our procedure:
- Valves are dismantled completely.
- All parts are cleaned to bare metal either by chemical solution or by sandblasting.
- Worn parts are remanufactured back to factory specifications.
- All valves are reassembled with new gaskets, packing studs, and nuts.
- All valves are tested to manufacturer specifications, API, ASMI, AWWA standards.
- Completed valves are painted to manufacturer or customer’s colours, then readied for shipping.
Recertifications
Once valves are repaired or rebuilt at DVP’s certified repair facility in Port Moody, we run them through test benches. DVP is authorized to provide all government certifications on any safety valve in British Columbia.
We specialize in:
- Recalibration of safety relief valves and pressure/vacuum valves
- Issuing test reports and metal tags with recertification
- Repairing most types of valves to API, ASME or AWWA standards of testing
- Testing of standard valving up to 72″ in diameter
